Biography

Silje Hagen was born in Norway on July 10.

Her aspirations to be a singer came from her earliest memories of her mum singing lullabies to her.
Silje’s musical inspirations include Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, Beyonce Knowles, Pink, Michael Jackson and Alanis Morrisette.

As a kid, she was a soloist at her church; she had the lead role in different musicals and also won numerous talent shows. She parlayed this love for music from her achievements in her small town to bigger stages when she competed on Norwegian Pop Stars and the first season of Norwegian “Idol”; the latter of which she was a fan favorite.
She made a big impression on Jazz Black; a renowned music and video producer, while she was on Norwegian
PopStars, he subsequently signed her on to Daworks Records but was unable to record an album due to her mothers cancer diagnosis, Silje took time off to help her mother fight the disease that is now in remission. As a result of this life altering experience,
she became an advocate for breast cancer awareness and also came out a stronger individual with a new perspective to music and life in general.
Silje has come full circle; she is back in the game with manager Drew Foderingham working on her debut album. Her time off and life experiences has sharpened her musical skills considerably
and also is reflected in her songwriting, she charms and captivates her listeners with a style that is subtly mature with an edgy pop.
Her goal is to touch people all over the world through her music and to get a reaction out of them. “Differences inspires me, I want to touch the hearts of people regardless of their background and also want to be touched by them”.
